I've been thinking a lot lately about where I should go in my artistic career both physically and mentally--a pertinant thought seeing as how I'm nearing the end of my studies at UCSB. I suppose I should be taking a more Buddhist approach to the whole thing and just follow what comes along. So in the meantime I've been thinking about what my subject for a series of works should be. I've come up with the theme of "hallways." I really liked how "Mon Couloir" turned out, so I wanted to continue with that practice of subtly manipulating the various hallways that I come into contact with. With that being said, look forward to new paintings of hallways in the not-so-distant future.
